SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a communications
protocol for transmitting private information over the
Internet. SSL works by encrypting data that is transmitted
over the SSL connection.
Both Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer support
SSL.
When you access an area on the Planet
Micro site that requires you to enter personal information,
like a credit card number you will automatically be
switched to our secure SSL server. Once the connection
is in place all information is encrypted and then sent
over the Internet using the SSL connection.
No one can read or access the data that is being transmitted.
